BILBAO

Sometimes one's mind can wander off to far away places.  One day you fantasize about going off to Patagonia; the next day, perhaps to Iceland...

In recent times, my fantasy travels have taken me to Bilbao in Spain.  The name Bilbao always intrigued me.  Why has Bilbao?  Perhaps it is because I have never been able to visit there, in spite of having been to Spain several times.  Now I have a renewed interest in Bilbao, thanks to Frank Gehry and the fantastic museum he designed - that I have only yet to see in photographs.  The forms and shapes of the architecture have inspired me to create this new series following a similar philosophy.  I hope that I have succeeded in capturing this link and thus, my motivation for calling this series, "Bilbao".
